Week 2 - CELEBRITY SIGHTING

To understand today's experience, I need to take you back to January 6, 2013. This is when I thought it was still socially appropriate to post collages of my celebrity crush.

This afternoon, I was simply strolling through Kensington on my way to the tube stop and I SAW EDDIE REDMAYNE!!!! We passed each other on the side walk. He had a hat on and was pushing a stroller. He looked like he just wanted to have a simple Sunday afternoon, so I decided not to bother him. BUT GUYS. I witnessed his beauty in person. My 15 year old self is VERY happy right now. What the heck. So is my 21 year old self.

My friend Cragun was in town today, so we got to walk around the beautiful Thames and see some of London's gorgeous sights.

The Elizabeth Tower (the part that isn't under construction)
If you look really closely, you can see the clock on Big Ben

We went to this adorable pub called The Old Shades
Daaang good Fish & Chips

I went to St. James's church today with some friends. I loved the sermon! The speaker shared a beautiful message about trusting in Christ and His knowledge. She talked about loving all around us and seeking out people that we can help. At one point in the sermon, everyone stands up and shakes hands with other people saying, "Peace be with you." I love the simplicity of this action. It reminded me that we can help others feel peace and we can allow others to help us feel peace. A large part of the gospel is about finding peace, and I think most of the world would like more peace in their life. I also loved that this little church service was right in the middle of Piccadilly Circus. The church is surrounded by shops, restaurants, and theatres. You could hear the city during the sermon. They also had a gospel choir which you know I love.

I realized partway through this video (you can probably hear the point) that I was filming very casually while sitting in between two film majors. I'm sure they were SO impressed with how carefully I hold the camera. But I was trying to be nonchalant because no one else looked like they were filming at this point.

This little weather app made me happy today. I have always had London saved as one of my favorites. I would often check the weather in London, just to see how it was across the pond. Now, I have London twice on my list. <3
