rainy days & the desk of my dreams
To kick this off, I am going to share my running time, because this is a very big deal for me. I've been running for about 3 years, and I'm slow. I think I'm average(ish?) in Utah, but in New York, I only get passed. My average time (for 3 miles and up) is ALWAYS above 10 minutes. Always. Last Saturday I was on a run, and this guy passed me, and I just decided I had had enough. I matched his pace until he left the trail. Then I checked my time and WOW! Just under 10. It's amazing what a little competition can do.
Can you handle the beauty of the desk? You can. Let me tell you what you can't handle. Having to accomplish ALL of your work (and leisure etc) on your bed. That is not a happy way to be living. As my grandmother would point out, it is not good for your back. I did this for 3 weeks, and I could not be happier to have a desk. It has truly changed my life for the better. It fills me with joy.
I am so happy to be in New York. <3
I've had a couple of VO auditions since being in the city, and I have been accomplishing them in the closet. There is a convenient shelf about 2 ft up, so I sit on my zafu pillow and go. living the dream.
Truly beautiful rainy morning in Central Park.
I love a nice empty park and some foggy skies.
We went to the 9/11 memorial on 9/11. The memorial is so beautiful and such a wonderful way to remember the tragedy, as well as the community and love that was shown in the face of such tragedy.
Another beautiful waterfall found in Central Park.
This was after the guy-that-passed-me-but-I-followed left.
