Week 6 - World Naked Bike Ride
Matilda in London has a student ticket deal - at 10:00 am they release 16 tickets for people aged 16-25 to see Matilda that day AND the tickets are only 5 pounds!!! It's an awesome deal. You need to get to the ticket office early, so you will be at the front of the line when they open at 10. So I got there at 9:20, and there was a big group in front and it became clear that it depended on how many of them chose to see the matinee versus the evening show. The matinee was my last option to see Matilda, so I was REALLY hoping it work out. It did. The show is great and even better at this awesome price.
The real reason I wanted to see this show was for the musical number, Revolting Children. It's one of those Youtube videos I watch when I need a homework break or extra motivation in life. It was worth going to see this show just to see that musical number.
After seeing this matinee children's show–with the more kids in the audience than we have ever experienced–we walked outside to discover the World Naked Bike Ride. Yep. They celebrate the human body. They were very happy people. Fortunately, there was a crowd lining the streets so none of us saw too much. I did not take pictures - ha - but I have to say this was one of my favorite things that happened on the streets, just because it would never ever never happen in Provo.
We saw a play about a woman who is in a SUPER unhappy marriage so she has an affair and then kills her husband. Then she gets caught and is executed. It's based on the true story of Ruth Snyder. SO UPLIFTING WOW. jkjkjk
