Corporate America Wins Again

This was a dream I didn't even know I had. An all-expenses paid trip to Miami to attend a conference full of finance professionals is just something that younger Rebecca would be THRILLED about. And I'm thrilled too. 

So many times on this trip I kept thinking about how a year ago I was working at TJ Maxx. Seriously, SO much can happen in a year, and I do not take for granted what it took to get me here. 

I feel like I always write on this when I'm like ~emotional~ which honestly makes a lot of sense. BUT today I just wanted to share something that made me happy, was an all around high, and felt a bit like a symbol of progress for me. 

Highlights include

- my beach-front view

- walking around Miami in a blazer 

- attending so many "networking" happy hours lol

- it was a group of 6 of us from my company (I was the only woman), so we would all pile into an Uber to go to restaurants and I was always back middle which was just fun

- we made a playlist of everyone's top 5 favorite songs 

- ordering and eating room service. What an experience!

- I gave someone my business card! A real person!
